Art Exhibition: Everyday Lives, Everyday People: The Work of Jack Lewis

The Historic Odessa Foundation is honored to be the northern Delaware venue to exhibit the wonderful collection of paintings by the beloved Delaware Artist Jack Lewis (1912-2012).
The exhibit titled Everyday Lives, Everyday People: Selections from the Nancy and Russell Suniewick Collection is on display from Tuesday, May 2 to Sunday, July 2, giving members and the public plenty of time to view this special collection. Art Workshop: Outdoor Sketching and Painting at HOF with Heather Lewis

HOF Celebrates Juneteenth

The Historic Odessa Foundation recognizes Juneteenth, the traditional celebration dating to 1865 commemorating the end of slavery in America. Tours of the National Park Service Network to Freedom exhibit: “Freedom Seekers: the Odessa Story” will be offered free of charge and open to the public. Tours are free to the public but advanced reservations are required by Friday, June 16th. Please contact Jennifer at (302)378-4119 or Jennifer.Cabell@historicodessa.org. Tours will leave from the Visitors Center 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.
Activity: Juneteenth Celebration: Silhouettes

After your "Freedom Seekers" tour have your silhouette cut in a method typical at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Discover how the camera obscura was used to create profile likenesses for posterity.
