Get into the Christmas spirit by attending a special evening candlelight guided tour offered by the curator of the Christmas exhibit, A Visit from St. Nicholas, at the National Historic Register, Wilson-Warner House, c. 1769. Enjoy hearing this classic Christmas poem while learning about the inspiration and process behind the furnishings and decorations for each room vignette.

The first "Christmas in Odessa" took place 53 years ago as a fundraiser for the Women's Club of Odessa. The purpose was to fund college scholarships for local high school seniors. With the help and cooperation of Odessa homeowners and the Historic Odessa Foundation, the Women’s Club of Odessa has provided scholarships to over 100 students.
Participants experience a special candlelight tour of our 2017 holiday exhibit. You're invited to step back in time through the doors of the Historic Odessa Foundation. Explore the Christmas traditions of yesteryear and enjoy champagne and festive treats in front of a roaring fire at the Collins-Sharp House, c.1700.
We invite you to join us to view Christmas trees decorated to the theme from your favorite children’s book. This year’s Storybook Trees exhibit is located in Wilson-Warner House and will showcase decorated trees in its beautiful period rooms.
Come visit the Historic Odessa Foundation this Christmas to celebrate our unique tradition started in 1987. This year for our 30th anniversary we will feature exhibits based on classic children’s literature.
Please join us for refreshments at a reception recognizing Betty Fiske, HOF Conservator and Curator for "Mapping America," from 5:30pm-8:30pm in the Historic Odessa Bank. A map lecture by Joan Irving, Winterthur Paper Conservator, begins at 6:00pm and will last appoximately one hour. This event is free for HOF Members or $5:00 for non-members.
To reserve a tree for the 2017 Holiday Tour season or for more information on creating a tree with your family, club, or school visit, please download and submit the registration form via fax or email. The deadline for registration forms is November 3rd.
H. Rodney Sharp collected maps and displayed them in his home, “Gibraltar”, in Wilmington. His particular interest focused on North America and the mid-Atlantic region, and many of these maps were acquired by reference to 18th century William Corbit inventories for display in the National Historic Landmark Corbit-Sharp house restored by Mr. Sharp.
Delaware Shakespeare Festival returns to a world of specters and spirits this October with two performances of “Shakespeare, Poe & Friends: A Night of Readings from the Dark Side,” at Historic Odessa's Stone Stable.

The annual Odessa Brewfest comes to historic Odessa on Saturday, September 9th, 2017. All attendees have access to food & merchandise vendors, live bands, sponsor tables, and more! Your ticket to the Odessa Brewfest gets you unlimited sampling of beer during the full duration of the festival.
