History comes alive! The Historic Odessa’s school program offers educators a well documented, interactive and hands-on sampler of 18th century life in colonial Odessa. Although designed specifically with Delaware teachers in mind, our program is broad enough to accommodate schools from other states, home schoolers, youth organizations and summer camps.
Put on your aprons and join the Historic Odessa Foundation’s hearth cooks in preparing dessert treats for a delicious afternoon tea using the techniques, recipes and tools common to the 18th century hearth. Cost: $40, Members: $30.

A gala reception was hosted on Saturday, April 24, debuting the month-long show to the artists and their families. Over 300 pieces of student art from the school district were showcased.

Corbit-Sharp, Wilson-Warner, and Collins-Sharp Houses as well as the 19th century Odessa Bank in Odessa are part of this tour conducted by the Delaware Historical Society.
Every evening through the end of October, the Corbit-Sharp House will be awash in pink. Visitors can stop by after dusk to view the National Historic Landmark lit up in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Historic Houses of Odessa open Thursday, (November 18, 2010) a week before they have in other years, with one home decorated in a Mary Poppins theme.
