2018 Holidays in Odessa, DE
Step back in time at the Historic Odessa's annual holiday celebration - a seasonal tradition of interpreting scenes from classic literature. This season we celebrate the 175th anniversary of A Christmas Carol first published in 1843 written by Charles Dickens and illustrated by John Leech. The celebration lasts from November 13th through December 30th, 2018.
Historic Odessa is open to the public in the fall and winter, Monday by reservation, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM and Sunday 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM. During the late fall and winter, the Historic Houses of Odessa are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and in January and February.
This Christmas don’t miss a Dickens of a Christmas exhibit at the befitting Corbit Sharp House. This National Historic Landmark house will be transformed into scenes based upon the classic novel, A Christmas Carol, In Prose, Being a Ghost Story of Christmas, by the English writer Charles Dickens.
