The Historic Odessa Foundation archives contain numerous original letters from many of the family members who lived in the Foundation’s 18th century houses.  Among them are letters from Captain Charles Corbit, son of Henry C. Corbit, to his beloved wife Louisa Anderson Corbit, daughter of Daniel Corbit and Eliza Naudain of Odessa.

Please join us with your blanket, lawn chairs, and picnic dinner on the lawn of our magnificent Corbit-Sharp House, overlooking our gardens, and the picturesque Appoquinimink River. As part of our 2013 Guide Training Program HOF Docents are invited to join us for a visit to the spectacular Hammond Harwood House in Annapolis, Maryland. This National Historic Landmark was built in 1774 for the 25 year old tobacco planter, Matthias Hammond, and was the last building project of renowned colonial architect William Buckland.
