This holiday season, visitors to the Historic Odessa Foundation’s Corbit-Sharp House will be transported to Number Seventeen Cherry Tree Lane, London, and the home of the Banks Family. Celebrate the magic of Christmas by experiencing the The Adventures of Mary Poppins. See the beloved classic stories of P.L. Travers come to life in adaptations that create three dimensional scenes.
The Historic Houses of Odessa open Thursday, (November 18, 2010) a week before they have in other years, with one home decorated in a Mary Poppins theme.
"We find that the Thanksgiving weekend is a big weekend. People are looking for things to do with the families and get into the holiday spirit," said Debbie Buckson of the Historic Houses of Odessa.
Women’s Club of Odessa’s Christmas in Odessa is a self-guided walking tour of private homes and public buildings, many dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, decorated for the holidays.

Every evening through the end of October, the Corbit-Sharp House will be awash in pink. Visitors can stop by after dusk to view the National Historic Landmark lit up in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
