You are cordially invited to step back in time through the doors of the Historic Odessa Foundation again this holiday season! For the past 30 years the Historic Odessa Foundation has celebrated children’s literature by recreating vignettes from the classics in one of our 18th-century houses.

The Historic Odessa Foundation invites you to attend this exclusive Concert event, with The Sin City Band. Please join us with your blanket, lawn chairs, and picnic dinner on the lawn of our magnificent Corbit-Sharp House, overlooking our gardens, and the picturesque Appoquinimink River. This is sure to be a very special evening spent with good friends enjoying delightful music!

On this evening of fun, food, and merrymaking the Historic Odessa Foundation honors all of our volunteers for their tireless efforts on our behalf and recognizes those individuals who have provided outstanding support to our organization throughout the year. The foundation would not exist without the assistance it receives from this dedicated group of individuals.
The Historic Odessa Foundation archives contain numerous original letters from many of the family members who lived in the Foundation’s 18th century houses. Among them are letters from Captain Charles Corbit, son of Henry C. Corbit, to his beloved wife Louisa Anderson Corbit, daughter of Daniel Corbit and Eliza Naudain of Odessa.
The Historic Odessa Foundation will be hosting the 2013 Annual Meeting of the Archaeological Society of Delaware (ASD). The public is invited to attend the business meeting from 10:00am to 11:00am, as well as two lectures that will be presented from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. This entire event is free.
Please join us for an exciting exhibit focusing on the Historic Odessa Foundation’s collection of early to late 19th century toys.
