Workshop: "Recognizing John Janvier Furniture" with Philip D. Zimmerman
Bring your questions and curiosity to this small group program! Join Philip D. Zimmerman to discuss and examine several HOF collection objects attributed to John Janvier.
John Janvier and his sons and nephew enjoyed a deserving reputation for making fine furniture in Odessa. They signed several pieces, thereby documenting their work for furniture historians. Since the 1940s, several articles have addressed this body of furniture, and the work continues. This program will pursue a more comprehensive understanding of the furniture and its makers through discussion, images, and hands-on examination of Janvier furniture
Reservations are required; (302) 378-4119 or firstname.lastname@example.org
