Lecture: "A Battle Against Time"

Please join us for a presentation by Emily Wroczynski, graduate student, Winterthur University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation.

On July 8, 2015, Emily Wroczynski, graduate student, Winterthur University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, will present a lecture, "A Battle Against Time: Conservation strategies for preservation and historical research presented through two case studies from HOF collection." Emily will discuss her conservation treatment of an 1840’s map of the United States.

Conservation Efforts: Early American Maps and Portraits

This map hand drawn by a young woman is unusual and interesting for its early date. Emily will also present her research for the conservation treatment of a primitive Portrait of a Young Boy which was possibly painted by 18th-century American Portrait Artist, William Williams.
