Exhibit: From the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal to the Mispillion River: One Artist’s Portrayal An Exhibition of Paintings by H. Earl Abbott, Jr.

The Historic Odessa Foundation is proud to exhibit the picturesque paintings of the noted central Delaware artist H. Earl Abbott, Jr.  The paintings are from the artist’s personal collection and many are exhibited publicly for the first time.

Abbott takes the approach of creating small plein-air studies of the landscape to document the composition and colors and then he utilizes those sketches to paint his larger traditional studio paintings.  For those art collectors who treasure Delaware scene paintings this exhibit is not to be missed.
