Photography Seminar led by Kevin Fleming - SOLD OUT!

Saturday, May 6, 2017 - 10:00am to 5:00pm

On May 6th, in conjunction with the photography exhibit, Definitely Delaware: Photographs by Kevin Fleming, the award winning photographer Kevin Fleming will host a full day photography seminar at the Historic Odessa Foundation.

Participants will learn how Kevin photographs portraits, landscapes, wildlife, action and aerials. He will help improve attendees’ knowledge of camera and lens elements (getting to know the camera) by covering camera basics including lens settings, shutter speeds, depth of field and shutter speed comparison, and how to correctly use a camera for better mastery of photography.  Kevin will also discuss light (natural and artificial), color, shape and composition in regard to photographing portraits, landscapes, wildlife, sports and macro subjects.

Learn from a Professional Photographer

The goal of the seminar is to help develop and improve the photographer's eye and help make photographs rather than simply taking pictures.  There will also be coverage of post-production practices - Photoshop basic tools, HDR samples including RAW files, effective cropping, use of crop tool, clone stamp, healing brush, layer masks and sharpening.

Price of the all-day seminar is $150.  Participants will receive an autographed copy of one of Kevin Fleming's books, either "The Heart of America" or "Wild Delmarva" ($50 value) and lunch with the registration fee.

This seminar is for photographers with some experience who want to improve their skills.  To get the most from this class, students should be using a digital single-lens reflex camera, not a point-and-shoot camera.
