Exhibit: Theorem Paintings by Noreen Taylor

The HISTORIC ODESSA FOUNDATION is pleased to host a collection of 49 colorful theorem paintings created by Noreen Taylor, of Dover, Delaware. Taylor has been named as a top 200 artisan in the Early American Life Magazine. Her work consistently appears in the magazine’s annual directory.

Taylor creates her reproduction theorem paintings from stencils that are from historic sources, folk art designs, horticultural designs, and from her original designs.  Her subjects typically include floral motifs, seasonal topics, and holiday themes.

Taylor demonstrates her craft annually at many historical events including, the Colonial Market & Fair at George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and Christmas in Odessa.

This exhibit is being held in conjunction with the museum loan exhibit, Delaware Collects: Stenciled, Painted & Framed, An American Theorem Collection on display at the National Historic Register, Wilson-Warner House.
